General Maya TD

 

Role:

Platige Image Cinematics Team is seeking technical directors who are skilled in improving the overall efficiency of 3d animation process. General TD’s work with general 3D and layout teams in coordination with Pipeline and Rigging departments to create tools, techniques and procedures to optimize process of environment creation. We are currently seeking technical directors for upcoming game cinematics projects at our Warsaw, Poland studio.

 

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for improving the efficiency of whole process in Maya/Houdini environment

- Design and manage tools that assist artist to work efficiently with Maya and/or Houdini and in-house software

- Support artist in finding and solve technical problems

- Collaborate with TD’s from other departments to improve quality and workflow for layout and 3d general work

 

Required:

- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a technical director in any 3d related environment

- Strong knowledge of Maya and Python

- Production proven ability to write and support tools in Maya

- A thorough understanding of all aspects of 3D animation pipeline including layout, environment creation, look-dev and lighting

- Strong understanding of technical problems during modeling, texturing and look development of 3d complex scenes, including natural landscapes, buildings, large sized architectural structures and any multi-asset scene management

- Good problem-solving abilities

- Good oral and written English language communication skills

- Self-motivation and a great team-player

 

Plus:

- Previous experience working in game cinematics pipeline, VFX or CG feature environment

- Strong knowledge of Houdini

- A general technical/math background including programming, scripting and software development

- Technical Degree
