The DwgTranslator plug-in is no longer distributed with this release. This plug-in provided import and export of DXF and DWG files.[238832]

DXF files have been associated with the FBX plug-in by default. The FBX plug-in can import AutoCAD Drawing Exchange Format Version 13 (.DXF).

    In order to support this functionality some new attributes were added to the pfxToon node:

    localOcclusion (lcl) enum 0
    If Line Surface is used then lines will be clipped where they are hidden by the surface they are created from. If All Toon Surfaces is used then lines will be clipped where they are hidden by any of the surfaces that are currently assigned these toon lines. This occlusion is generally meant to augment the line occlusion by the normal paint effect render, or orther renders if convert toon to poly is used. With paint effects renders, the depthBias attribute may be useful when combined with local occlusion.
    occlusionTolerance (otl) double 0.01
    This is an amount in worldspace that lines are moved towards the camera when testing depth for local occlusion. A small value is required to avoid artifacts where the surface self occludes lines.
    depthBias (dbs) double 0.0
    This is an amount in worldspace that lines are moved towards the camera when rendering. This is useful in avoiding artifacts with depth occlusion by the surface the lines are on.
    backfacingCreases (bfc) bool true
    If on, then creases are generated on surfaces that face away from the view.

  • Fixed a problem with the "Match Render Tessellation" option in NURBS to Polygons not producing the same results as those shown when using "Display Render Tessellation" on the NURBS surface. The problem occurred in two circumstances:[237946]
    • when the Edge Swap option was disabled
    • when the transform node for the NURBS surface had non-unit scaling

    [*]Fixed a problem with rendering fur with a non-unit aspect ratio not rendering properly.[238204]

    [*]Fixed a problem with Reverse Fur Normals not behaving properly.[238119]

    [*]Exporting objects (either all objects, or Selected ones) with the Preserve References option enabled would produce a corrupt file, and make Maya unstable.[237452]

  • Fixed a problem with painting attributes leading to a crash.[237476]
  • It is sometimes possible for Maya's vector renderer to generage SVG files that do not render properly in certain SVG readers, e.g. Adobe Illustrator. These files exhibit color bleeding in areas of the vector output. The bleeding is a result of the winding direction of certain vector polygons with holes.[233348]

Maya 7.0P02

Fixed a problem where API MEL commands which called MGlobal::executeCommand could crash Maya. Commands which did not provide a newSyntax callback when registering the command could crash when multiple calls to the command were executed from within the same block of MEL code. eg. if two calls to the command were executed from within the script editor at the same time.[236674] Maya 7.0P01

  • Fixed a problem with render -r mr ignoring -rd.[235788]
  • Fixed a problem with the Surface Sampler generating empty pixels in the output image when the image height was set greater than the image width.[236835]
  • When painting skin weights, where the weight of a vertex has been held by a joint, if another joint was added as an influence to that vertex, the vertex would go to the origin if the weight is over 1.[229941]{linux only}
  • Crash or corruption when opening a scene with references. The corruption noticed was causing extra namespaces to appear: if a scene contained a single reference “ref.ma” in the namespace “ref”, opening the scene and executing ‘namespaceInfo –lon’ might show two namespaces “ref” and “ref1”. There is no well defined workflow to cause this crash, however it has only been known to occur in a scene with references where one or more of the referenced files contain softMods.[235202]
  • Fixed a problem with Remove Selected not working properly.[234472]
  • Crash when using Isolate Select in a scene containing references. The workflow for hitting this bug is fairly involved, so typically customers who encountered it were not able to pinpoint Isolate Select as the cause. The most common reported symptom was “occasional crashing when working with a scene containing references”.[233849]
     
    Example:
    1. New file. Create a cube. Save as cube.ma.
    2. New file. Create a sphere. Save as sphere.ma.
    3. New file. Reference cube.ma. Reference sphere.ma.
    4. Unload sphere.ma.
    5. Isolate Select the cube.
    6. Load and unload sphere.ma.
    7. Save as top.ma.
    8. Toggle Isolate Select off.
    9. Load the sphere.
    10. Save... crash
