Wie ktoś może coś o możliwości użycia PS3 jako serwera renderingu?

Ja czytałem że można na PS3 zainstalować jakiegoś Linuksa, ponadto czytałem o wykorzystaniu PS2 w klastrach obliczeniowych. To bardzo ciekawe zastosowanie bo przecież konsole jako samodzielne jednostki są bardzo tanią mocą obliczeniową (producenci dopłacają do ich produkcji zarabiając na sprzedaży gier).

 

EDIT: poczytałem trochę i okazało się, że można na PS3 zainstalować nawet Ubuntu. Więc teoretycznie możnaby uruchamiać aplikacje renderingowe. Sony zablokowało tylko akceleracje procesora graficznego. Więc może ktoś to sprawdzi? PS3 już jest do kupienia;)
