JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Department: Lighting & rendering

 

RealtimeUK has an immediate requirement for Lighting TD's capable of working on both stylised and photorealistic content for next-gen video game intros and cinematic trailers for some of the leading developers & publishers worldwide.

 

Role/Position: Lighting TD

 

Location: North-West England

 

Salary: Negotiable upon experience

 

Start Date: Immediately

 

Spoken Language(s): English

 

Required Work Auth.: European Union

 

Knowledge & Experience:

 

Lighting TD's should be able to take an unlit pre-modeled/textured scene and develop shader & lighting solutions. The Lighting TD is also responsible for rendering & compositing scenes. Applicants should be highly proficient in 3DS MAX with an exceptional eye for creativity & detail.

 

Candidates should:

• Be able to demonstrate a high quality portfolio/showreel (junior positions not available at this time).

• Demonstrate creativity and idea origination.

• Be motivated, self-disciplined.

• Exhibit good communication and organisational skills.

• Have an excellent working knowledge of 3DS MAX especially in the following areas.

o Shader development

o Lighting

o Rendering (Vray, Mental Ray or Brazil)

• Have good working knowledge of a compositing package

• Have at least 1 year production experience in the CG industry or have an outstanding showreel.

• Demonstrate good understanding of composition.

• Be able to coordinate and work effectively with others.

• Be able to work closely with Art Directors and Project Managers.
