What will you be doing…..
Arterra Interactive is a leader in Architectural 3D visualisation. We have worked on landmark projects such as Barangaroo, The Ribbon, Central Station, Parramatta CBD, Western Sydney Airport, and many more.
As our business expands we seek a Mid-Level Unreal Engine Artist with excellent knowledge to drive experimental projects forward. The successful candidate will create interactive experiences as part of a research and development role. Having the ability to work with Managing Directors and 3D artists to develop creative concepts is a requirement to fulfill this role.
You will ensure that our production and creative standards are maintained and work within our production pipeline. You will look for opportunities to upskill and mentor junior team members.
Role & Responsibilities:
● Using acquired software such as Unreal Engine, 3DsMax, Photoshop, Substance, etc to perform; Scripting, animation, integrating textures, meshes, lighting, setting camera angles, GUIs, optimisation & audio integration.
● Liaison and communicate effectively with the Creative Director and 3D Artists. ● Research innovative ideas to improve efficiency and satisfy technical requirements.
● Contribute advice and support to the implementation of large technical projects with innovative solutions. ● Focus on lighting quality. ● Quality control and focus on the overall rendering quality.
● Write and develop robust code and Blueprint scripts to extend Unreal engines functionalities, in order to create custom real-time experiences and interfaces.
● Research innovative ideas to improve efficiency and satisfy technical requirements. ● Optimise assets and scenes for efficient real-time usage.
● Responsible for building and releasing unreal products
● Create and document workflows within the Arterra Interactive pipeline.
● Contribute, advise, and support the implementation of large technical projects with innovative solutions. ● Research innovative ideas to improve efficiency and satisfy technical requirements.
● Work closely with 3D artists and Managing Director to implement assets in-engine. ● Providing mentorship, technical guidance, and support for 3D artists using real-time.
● Clean up working files after project completion.
● Work on other Interactive technologies as required by the company.
● Work on other internal projects to assist with automating processes.

● Minimum 2+ year’s Unreal Engine experience in a production environment.
● Excellent knowledge of Unreal Engine or Unity will be considered.
● Excellent understanding of 3D applications such as 3dsMAX.
● Experience optimizing 3D models.
● Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and stay abreast of developments/standards.
● Highly committed and able to work independently and as part of a team.

● Experience in Unity will be considered. Skills that are advantageous but not a requirement:-
● Programming experience.
● Preferred Languages: C++and C#
● Experience with Oculus Rift or similar VR tech is a plus.
● Knowledge in Unity: Scripting, animation, integrating textures, meshes, adjusting lighting, setting camera angles, GUI styles, optimisation & audio integration.
