Ludzkim językiem to będzie coś w stylu: Kiedy materiał nie jest przezroczysty, ale jest na tyle cienki że przenika przez niego światło. Przykład liście http://www.neilblevins.com/cg_education/translucency/tut28_fig03.jpg
