oneczech Napisano 19 Kwiecień 2012 Napisano 19 Kwiecień 2012 FASCINATING NEWS AND CHANCE for animators that will take our 2 week course with Kenny Roy on animating a short film since their work will be published in a book by Kenny Roy. Kenny officially confirmed that he will publish a book on "Short Film Workflow" and the short film students will produce during the summer course will be featured in the book. This means that ANOMALIA has gained a significant promotion means to promote the works of our students and their names, besides giving them a unique opportunity to gain a studio experience, learn new stuff about animation and have their shots be part of a bigger non-profit project ... Based on this fact, we hope talented students gain motivation to participate so their work can become IMMORTAL and seen world wide. Visit http://www.anomalia.eu . Registration deadline is APRIL 30th Kenny is the author of How To Cheat In Maya 2012 book. More information later ... VIDEO WITH KENNY ROY about the ANOMALIA 2012 course:
oneczech Napisano 19 Kwiecień 2012 Napisano 19 Kwiecień 2012 Kenny Roy shares more info about his course and the book he will publish based on the course experience: I (Kenny) have been approved by my publisher to write a book on Short Film Workflow and am using my 5 or so years of experience teaching short film production as well as my studio experience to deliver a start-to-finish manual for people who want to make a short film at home. What sets it apart from Inspired Short Film or Ideas for the Animated Short is the fact that it not only creatively but technically walks you through the entire process. First and foremost! This book is not about The Little Painter, that is my own project and separate from the course, and also outside the purview of the book. The film itself is non-profit, and any and all proceeds that come from the film will be donated to charity (there will probably be nothing anyway, but we should establish this from the get go, we're not Digital Domain). For the most part, the shots in the film will be all in layout stage by the time the workshop begins. The shots students work on at Anomalia for the short film course will be featured in the book, and distributed with the book as well. David and I are interested in bringing as much exposure to Anomalia as we can and our hope is to have Press on the last day to screen the film as an event. If students are interested in providing brief interviews, I may include those in the book. On the other hand if you would not like to be involved at all, we can keep your exposure down to just a credit in the book and on the film. Each day of the course will start with lecture and instruction on a phase of the short film process, followed by a break and then working individually on your shots with 1-on-1 feedback as I go around the class. We'll have dailies first thing in the morning and then do it all over again. At the end of week 2, we'll have, with a little luck, the animation completed and a nice little film to show off. Participants at Anomalia will definitely be receiving a free copy of the book and the film on DVD or BluRAY.
oneczech Napisano 24 Kwiecień 2012 Napisano 24 Kwiecień 2012 ANOMALIA has been selected to be among the TOP 100 schools in the world The author writes: I think it is important to recognize that animation education never stops. And it certainly doesn't end after a 4-year degree. Working in the animation industry means constantly learning; learning new tools, new plugins, new techniques. ANOMALIA, a professional training and 3D animation network, caters to exactly this style of learning. It may be a little strange to add unaccredited ANOMALIA to this list but their summer courses and video teaching sessions are beyond reproach. This isn't a rinky-dink set of courses though, their guest lecturers and teachers are veterans in the industry who work for institutions and studios like Animation Mentor, Pixar (multiple teachers) and Les Gobelins. Their courses include subjects like Pantomime for Animators, Studio Pipeline and Character Design for 3D. http://www.animationcareerreview.com/articles/top-100-schools-animation-gaming-and-design?page=0%2C1
