Animation TD

Role:

Platige Image Cinematics Team is seeking technical directors who are skilled in improving the overall efficiency of the Animation pipeline. Animation TD’s work with the Animation team in coordination with Pipeline and Rigging departments to create tools, techniques, and procedures to optimise character animation process. We are currently seeking technical directors for upcoming game cinematics projects at our Warsaw, Poland studio.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for improving the efficiency of the Animation pipeline

- Design and manage tools that assist the Animators to work efficiently with Maya and in-house software

- Support the Animators in finding technical problems with models, rigs, tools and data flow

- Collaborate with TD’s from other departments to improve quality and workflow for character animation in AAA productions.

Required:

- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a technical director with a focus on Animation, Pre-viz, Motion Capture, Character FX and/or Rigging

- Strong knowledge of Maya and Python

- Production proven ability to write and support animation or rigging tools

- Deep understanding of character design and animation pipeline, as it relates to data flow between animation and other departments work

- Good problem-solving abilities

- Self-motivation and a great team-player

Plus:

- Previous experience working in game cinematics pipeline or CG feature environment

- Strong knowledge of Motion Builder

- Experience with Faceware Software

- Experience with any of crowd simulation tool, preferable Golaem

- A general technical/math background including programming, scripting and software development

- Technical Degree
