Render Wrangler

Role:

Platige Image Cinematics Team is seeking Render Wranglers who are experienced in they role. Render wranglers work closely with system engineers, artist, supervisors and production staff in order to effectively support our rendering infrastructure. You will be involved in creation of AAA game cinematics, VFX features and other hi-end CGI projects at our Warsaw, Poland studio. Position is available immediately.

Responsibilities:

- monitor, troubleshoot and optimize render queue and network rendering resources

- work closely with pipeline developers and IT to effectively support our rendering infrastructure

- identify and diagnose failing renders and malfunctioning render nodes

- support artists in every-day rendering related problems in Lighting, General, FX and other departments.

Required:

- A minimum of 1 years’ production proven experience working in similar role

- Must be well-rounded at the whole 3D pipeline from animation to compositing

- Linux power user

- enthusiasm to learn and develop professionally

- Self-motivation and a great team-player

Plus:

- Experience troubleshooting in a Linux environment

- Strong programming and workflow architecture skills

- Experience with C++ and/or Python in tools and plug-in development

- Strong knowledge of render engines including one of: Arnold, Vray, Mantra and/or PRMan

- Previous experience as Maya, Houdini and/or Nuke technical director

- Technical Degree
